March Madness - Maui style
A quick but fantastic trip to Maui in March was just what the doctor ordered. Fishing, sunshine, night time walks along the beach - it really is the simpler things in life that count.
Right off the bat is my favorite pic of the trip. Years of fishing back and forth past Makena and I finally caught her in the right light - or absence of it perhaps. The sunrise beaming over the 10,000 foot volcano - Haleakala, made for the best catch of the day.

They should call them "Stealth-backs"
Midnight palm.
Now this is what I call pebble beach.
Heading to deep waters aboard the Privateer with Maui and Molokini on the horizon and getting smaller/smaller/smaller.
That's right grandma - it jumped clean over the boat, twice... Folks love to check out who's catching what at Kihei boat ramp. Today - the boys aboard the Privateer were the main attraction!
Looking over at W. Maui
Molokini's backside - looking good too...
The surly but wise Captain Jimbo plots the day's course before sunrise hits the volcano.
Was a great day to be fishing! Triple hook up on Hawaiian Ono meant we were bbq'ing fresh fish tonight! Ono means - tasty. Go ahead - touch the fin!
Watching boats at the Kihei Launch is always fun!

The Hill
Come Together:
Little hombres was thoroughly chilling to the music of a local busker, Sebastian Clark, who attracted quite a crowd on Broadway. The blonde 'elf master' showed up out of nowhere and was a wee intoxicated when he started the duet.
Valentines Day 2010 and it was nice all day, until I went outside to take a couple pictures! What a downpour! It was still fun, of course, though me and the camera got a little soaked

Day to day
What can I say? I love city life and how it all 'fits together or sometimes doesn't fit at all. Either way - I can't help but photograph moments, places and people that interest me.

Some aspects of a police offer's job defy description. Scott McGlashan (and team) from Harbor Patrol retrieves and covers a deceased individual from under the Aurora Bridge.
----------------
Broadway Character - hard to anticipate but I really do appreciate.
Ive known "Broadway Mike" and "Hungry Man" a long, long time and consider them friends. life on the streets, or anywhere else for that matter, is easier when you have friends - no?
Second only to cocaine in King County OD's - heroin.
Thank you to 911, Fire 25 and Harborview ER for saving his life. Broadway 2008 and a block from my front door - sadly routine.
