The Hill

Come Together:
Little hombres was thoroughly chilling to the music of a local busker, Sebastian Clark, who attracted quite a crowd on Broadway. The blonde 'elf master' showed up out of nowhere and was a wee intoxicated when he started the duet.

Valentines Day 2010 and it was nice all day, until I went outside to take a couple pictures! What a downpour! It was still fun, of course, though me and the camera got a little soaked

Day to day

What can I say? I love city life and how it all 'fits together or sometimes doesn't fit at all. Either way - I can't help but photograph moments, places and people that interest me.

Some aspects of a police offer's job defy description. Scott McGlashan (and team) from Harbor Patrol retrieves and covers a deceased individual from under the Aurora Bridge.

----------------

Broadway Character - hard to anticipate but I really do appreciate.
Ive known "Broadway Mike" and "Hungry Man" a long, long time and consider them friends. life on the streets, or anywhere else for that matter, is easier when you have friends - no?

Second only to cocaine in King County OD's - heroin.
Thank you to 911, Fire 25 and Harborview ER for saving his life. Broadway 2008 and a block from my front door - sadly routine.

Why I love my neighborhood, Capitol Hill. Smiles are always free.

"Alabama" stops for a visit - Broadway

National Night Out 09 - I think it picked up for him a little later.
Seattle to BB Island - Cant resist that ferry boat view!

Just fishing

She might not win the the beauty contest for prettiest boat in the harbor, but the Privateer looks pretty nice in the blue-moon light and has always gotten us home safe. And the fish? Big and plenty!

Sea Bass - it's what's for dinner! Captain Jimbo cuts up some fresh fillets!

Big Ocean - Big fish

Brother Randy and Captain Jim show off the day's catch - Onaga!
.

Amazing Ocean

New years  2010 and Blue Moon rises over Molokini: It never ceases to amaze me the wonders that exist in the waters around the Hawaiian Islands. I was lucky enough to visit my 'home away from home' over the holidays and brought my new Nikon D-700 for its maiden (field test) voyage. It didn't disappoint, and neither did the spectacular scenery. This was a great trip and I finally learned how to make a humpback breach - just put away your camera for 2 minutes!

From Maui with Love

Dec 31st 2009: Took a break from fishing to witness these two amazing folks, Andy and Maria, enjoy their sunrise union Maui style. They had flown in from England to get in some sunshine and fishing - which is how I met them. Not only did they make a great couple - they were a lot of fun to be around. Their first time deep sea fishing and my first time taking wedding pictures - we both managed to catch a few good ones!
